Arcanite is an analogue Collectible Card game currently under development and it is my most ambitious project yet.

The game is still in a pretty early state, but we are aiming for a Kickstarter campaign at some point to fund the further production.

 

The game is made by two people. Except for the final art, everything is done by me.

Work I did:

Game Design: Designing the game rules with an unique ressource mechanic. Balancing the individual cards and booster pack/box ratios & World building.

Programming: Small tools that support the development, like a card and sheet generator for fast prototyping and printing. Currently working on an Unity version to allow playtesting against an AI.

Marketing and Social Media: This area of development was new for me and sure is challenging. The posts involve card reveals, gameplay insights, game references, design tips and more.

Card Gallery

 

Snippet from a tool that helps to generate a bunch of card from a XML file. To help prototyping, it can create a sheet fitting for printing or to import it to Table Top Simulator.

 

Tools that help to do quick analogue prototypes: papercutter, thick cardstock paper, a thermal laminator with pouches and a corner rounder.
